As of 1 July, 2020, practitioners must be accredited under FPAS if they wish to perform ' regulated work' under the 

Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000 (EPAR). 

FPAS has been recognised for: 

  • Fire Systems Design (FSD) - for practitioners who endorse plans and specifications in accordance with
    clauses 136AA and 146B of the EPAR; and
  • Fire Safety Assessment (FSA) - for those who endorse essential fire safety measures on annual or
    supplementary fire safety statements under Part 9, Divisions 5 and 7 of the EPAR.

The director, Daniel Chomicki, has been a driving force in the development and marketing of the company, now well established with a broad client base.Daniel’s professional career spans 45 years. His engineering expertise has enabled him to guide the company to effectively and efficiently serve its clients.

D A Fire's team is managed and staffed by personnel with extensive years of experience within the Fire Protection Industry. Our Design Office is fully computerised providing accuracy and efficiency in the construction process.

Adam Chomicki, D A Fire Service Director

Adam has 20 years of experience in the field. He handles all emergency call-outs, preventive maintenance, and post-commissioning service contracts. Over the years, Adam has grown the company from one staff member to over 20 technicians on the road, and he oversees this dedicated team to ensure smooth operations.

Ignas Tjen, Design Manager

Ignas has design experience spanning 42 years in the Fire Protection industry. Ignas manages the Design and Installation of all major projects our company undertakes and is supported by an experienced design team.

Eva Mitek, Dry Fire Designer & Project Manager

Eva has 35 years’ experience in fire protection systems design and Project Management. Since 2003, Eva has looked after the design of Fire Detection and Evacuation System and the Project Management of major projects our company undertakes in coordination with the site teams. Eva has been working on major projects such as the Sydney Casino, Gosford & Wyong Hospital, Westmead Hospital, Woolworths Minchinbury, Rhodes Waterside, Myer City, SITA and Holsworthy Army Barracks.

Harsha Kondur, Fire Protection Designer & Project Manager

Harsha started with the company as a CAD Operator and quickly progressed onto becoming a Project Manager. He has over 18 years’ experience in the fire protection industry. Harsha is self-motivated and with a proactive attitude, he will get things done. His latest achievement was successfully managing the Sirius project, overcoming complex design challenges and meeting tight deadlines.  

Brent Hubbard, Fire Protection Designer & Construction Manager

Brent has joined our team in 2019 as a senior designer, he had 5 years’ experience in South Africa and is implementing his knowledge and new ideas in our company. He oversees most of our warehouse’s projects and manages our site labour schedules. His most recent accomplishment are the Hale Capital warehouses.

Forsen Feng, Fire Protection Designer & Project Manager

With 6 years of experience in the fire protection industry, Forsen has joined the D A Fire family in 2021 as a Project Manager and Fire Protection Designer, bringing extensive knowledge in fire services system design, detailed drawing documentation, hydraulic calculations, and project management. Forsen has worked on a wide range of projects across various sectors, contributing to design work in fire services. His most recent success is delivering Western Sydney Community and Conference centre project to an exceptional landmark.

 Juan Venter, Fire Protection Designer & Project Manager 

Juan comes from South Africa and has now 10 years of experience in the fire protection industry. Since joining the D A Fire team 3 years ago, Juan has been known for his exceptional thoroughness and his ability to successfully complete tasks, no matter the size. His latest achievement is the successful and simultaneous completion of a residential apartment building for North Shore Property Construction as well as a 12 buildings warehouse in Villawood.

Yen Wang, Fire Protection Designer & Project Manager

With 5 years’ experience on fire protection industry, Yen joined D A Fire Family as a Project Manager and Fire Protection Designer.  Yen gained a vast of knowledge in fire services system design, detailed drawing documentation, hydraulic calculations and project management for a wide range of projects across different sectors, collaborating design works on both 2D and 3D fire service design. Yen’s main accomplishment to date is designing and managing Melrose Park stage 4, a 6 residential buildings project in Syndey west.

Luke Halpin, Fire Protection Designer & Project Manager

Luke has track record of a total of 10 years delivering fire safety solutions for complex projects. His experience includes managing fire system design for infrastructure, mining, international airports, commercial skyscrapers, heritage-listed buildings and specialised projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently and in compliance with industry standards. Luke’s strengths are in delivering quality technical drawings that meet the projects requirements, ensuring fire protection systems are designed and installed accurately.

Bruno Shimada, Fire Protection Designer & Project Manager

Bruno has been designing fire systems since 2015. He started his career in Brazil, where he gained hands-on experience with both small and large-scale projects in the fire safety industry. Over the years, Bruno developed a deep expertise in various wet fire systems, including sprinkler systems, deluge systems, etc. His work extends across industrial projects and warehouses, where he rigorously applies international standards such as NFPA and FM Global.

Aiden Wang, Fire Protection Designer & Project Manager

Aiden is a skilled fire designer who recently joined D A Fire as a Project Manager. With extensive experience in completing various projects, he specializes in both 2D and 3D design for wet and dry fire systems. Aiden has a deep knowledge of Australian standards and the National Construction Code (NCC), focusing primarily on residential and commercial buildings.

Shyerli Sucahyo, Fire Protection Designer

Shyerli has been an integral part of the D A team for over a decade, beginning her journey as a CAD operator and evolving into a skilled designer and 3D design expert with proficiency in Revit. She now leads the design of medium to large-scale projects, including the successful completion of a 3D project for Sirius in The Rocks.

Tania Cittra, Fire Protection Designer

Tania has been a key member of our company for over 15 years, specializing in the design of all types of fire protection using AutoCAD and HydraCAD. She has completed successful projects including Arc by Crown, Macquarie Park Village, West Village Parramatta, Woolooware Bay Centre etc….

Nima Mandi, 3D Fire Designer. Nima is our 3D expert

He has been in the trade industry for over 5 years, developing extensive expertise in creating detailed and accurate 3D designs. Starting their career as a CAD operator, Nima has since mastered advanced 3D design software like Revit, enabling to effectively handle complex fire protection projects. He is successfully managing the design of fire protection systems for the large-scale City Tattersalls Club Project on Castlereagh st for Richard Crookes Construction. 

Stuart Cairns, Fire Protection Site Supervisor

Stuart is our licenced plumber and qualified supervisor. He worked with D A Fire as a subcontractor since the early 2000s and has recently joined us as the head supervisor.

Dan Surendar, Fire Protection Site Supervisor

Dan has been with us for 8 years and is our go to for commissioning systems. He also organises the smooth operation for the installation of our major projects, such as the Greens at Norwest and The Henley at Enfield

Rodney Boyce, Fire Protection Site Supervisor

Rodney is like a dog with a bone, he is relentless in getting things done to perfection. He oversees the seamless execution of major project installations, including the Waterfall development in Zetland.

Chris Phillips Fire Protection Site Supervisor

Chris is the tech savvy supervisor of the team and an experienced sprinkler fitter. He makes sure all documentation and technology integration are followed by our site teams. He also ensures the efficient coordination of major project installations, such as Melrose Park and Antara.

 Daniele Gorgoglione, Passive Fire Supervisor

Daniele has a decade tenure with D A starting as a labourer, then site supervisor to finally being responsible for the company-wide passive fire requerments. 

Tom Winny, Fire Alarm Manager

Tom has worked with D A Fire spanning 30 years. He has an Electrical Licence and an electronic diploma. He has experience in all types of Fire Indicator Panels, solid state, addressable and analogue-addressable. He also specialises in hazardous areas, VESDA, and gas suppression systems. Tom has been working on major Projects such Macquarie Park Village, V by Crown, Waterfall and much more.

Johnny Armas, Fire Alarm Designer & D A Fire Electrical Co-director

Johnny started as an electrical apprentice for Tom and now is the co-director of the D A Fire Electrical division. He holds an Electrical License and an Electronic Diploma. His expertise covers all the AS1670 fire alarm systems. He specializes in hazardous areas, VESDA, and gas suppression systems. Over the years, Johnny has contributed to major projects such as Macquarie Park Village, V by Crown, Waterfall, and many more.

Nick Toomer, Fire Alarm Manager & D A Fire Electrical Co-director

Nick also started with Tom as an apprentice and now is co-director of the D A Fire Electrical. He holds both an Electrical License and an Electronic Diploma. His expertise includes working with all types of Fire Indicator Panels—solid state, addressable, and analogue-addressable. Nick has played a key role in major projects such as Woolooware Bay Centre or The Greens Norwest.
